VETTES ON THE ROCKIES COMMENTS FROM OUR GUESTS
This was our
first year for VOTR and
we really enjoyed the weekend. Thanks to all of the
fifty eight that spent a lot of time preparing and
executing the event. We have an idea of all the time
involved because last July 2005 our club (Suburban
Corvettes of Minnesota)
hosted the NCCC national
convention in St Cloud, MN.
Thanks,
David Lindgren

I would
like to congratulate you on a primo, class act, 3 day
event. I did not participate in either the Rally or
Funkana, as I was a single without a navigator. I
traveled from San Diego with two of my fellow club
members (3 cars), one of whom did the Rally. He said it
was the best ride he has been on, as the roads traveled
were great, beautiful scenery, and you couldn't have
asked for a better day. I did manage to reap the
benefits of the great meals/dessert provided. What a
layout of good food. My compliments.

Outstanding job by all LGCA members. This was our
first VOTR event with you, but won’t be our last. For
years I’ve sat and listened to the great stories told by
our members upon return. This year I’m the one doing
all the talking, and recruiting!
Seeing hundreds of Corvettes from all over the map
was fun, but what struck me the most was the attitude of
the LGCA members I talked with. Each was out-going,
friendly and sincerely wanted our stay to be the best
possible. The event workers smiled until the end
(we’ve all done this duty, and it wears thin after about
an hour!) I cannot say enough good about your
membership. What a team. Be proud….many clubs do not
share this “can-do” attitude and teamwork.
The rally was fun. Being from New Mexico, just
seeing trees and water was a thrill, but a few hours
driving through your mountains was a true pleasure.
What a wonderful playground you have. I’m thinking of
moving to Denver just to be in your club and cruise the
mountains!
Great food, great people, well organized and a very
special 3 days for my wife and I. I’m sure this message
is just a repeat of hundreds of others saying the same
thing. Whatever it is that you guys do…keep doing it.
The featured guests were tremendous, and all speakers
representing your club were well spoken.
Thank you all again for a well planned, fun
weekend.

Just
got home from the event....WOW....what a great time. We
traveled with three other couples and had a wonderful
time. Your group deserves a big pat on the back for
the outstanding job they did with every aspect of this
event.
Thanks
again,

I know
that there were several of our members from Vegas Vettes
represented at your event. What I really wanted to say
is how awesome we think that Looking Glass Corvettes
members are! I am amazed each time that we go to our
mailbox and find another LGCA registration (20 to-date)
there for the Corvette Roulette event! I just checked
out your web site and found that "Reflections" has a
flier as well for Corvette Roulette! You people are
great, now we can only hope to provide as great of a
show as we have found at Vettes On The Rockies! VOTR
has been a great inspiration for us to start Corvette
Roulette. We think that you will all be pleasantly
surprised!
Thanks
again, we look forward to being your hosts this time!

Looking Glass
Corvette Club Officers & Members,
I want to send a short note regarding last weekends "Vettes On The
Rockies" car show held in Frisco, Colorado. This was
the first time my wife and I have attended an event
sponsored by your club. Both of us sincerely
appreciated how well organized the event was. I was
especially impressed with the respect given to local
churches as they conducted Sunday morning services.
Club members and participants alike demonstrated
maturity and quality just as the Corvettes they drive.
As Corvette owners my wife and I want to congratulate
you and express our sincere thanks for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Chuck & Ann Kats
Loveland, Colorado

I
honestly can't say enough about what a great trip and
car show event it was. Of course the Rocky Mountains
make for a great backdrop but it is your Club members'
attention and good spirits that make it so successful.
All the little details and special amenities make us
feel truly welcome and appreciated. Everything was
managed well and not overdone.
We
love staying at the Beaver Run Resort, not only for its
ambience and proximity to everything but also for the
covered parking and washing areas. The Looking Glass
Club certainly knows how to put on a successful and
enjoyable car show, from those attendees who participate
in everything to those who pick maybe one event. It's a
great vacation either way and a great way to celebrate
our Corvettes. Our Club could greatly benefit by
incorporating some of your strategies into our annual
Classic car show.
The
Lone Star Corvette Club brought nine cars this year and
everyone of us are already planning a return visit,
hopefully with even more cars. Again, I congratulate
you and thank you for a wonderful event and look forward
to our next Vettes on the Rockies car show.

========================================================================================= You
guys did a perfect job! The best part was at the end
when we left the show and got high fives from your club.
That meant allot to use and it showed your appreciation.
I hope
to see some of you at Eureka this year! Thanks again for
the hard work.

Wanted to thank you and your club again for the
great time Dixie and I had at VOTR. Enjoyed all the
events, the lodging, the food, and all of the great
Vette folks. Hope to see you all again next year.
Thanks.

Looking Glass
Corvette Association,
I just wanted to drop ya’ll a note and say thank
you for the good time we had at VOTR-2006. Everyone is
to be commended for their gracious hosting. We hope to
be invited back again next year. The whole Arkansas
contingent had a blast. The weather was good and the
air clear and clean. Hope some of you can come to Hot
Springs, AR in April, 2007 for our show.

My wife & I would like
to thank you for the wonderful time we had at VOTR 2006…
while this was the first time any of us from Cowtown
Vettes had attended your event, we did have a great
time.
We wanted to share a few pictures we took at the event
as well as along the way from Ft Worth, TX. - you'll
find the event linked off our home page, listed below.
SUMMIT COUNTY ROTARY CLUB CORVETTE AUCTION AT VOTR
This car belonged to Len and Prue Garrity of LGCA. It
was purchased by the Summit County Rotary Club as the
annual raffle car to support their local scholarship.
The story goes that they looked at three other cars from
Grand Junction to Ft. Lupton to purchase the perfect car
for their raffle and once they found ours at Purifoy
they bought it immediately. We were told that they plan
to sell 3,000 tickets and the profits would go to the
scholarship fund. This just warmed the cockles of our
hearts to know that our labors of love with our “old”
car paid off in this manner! Enjoy this beauty –
whoever wins it!
