 PHYLLIS NUSS MADE IT TO THE SEMI FINALS !!!!!!

 We have 2 races left in the 2006 racing season.  At the race in June we had 6 team members which included Forest Thompson, Phyllis Nuss, John Hoy, Bill DeVore, Bob and Elaine McFarlane.  Forest, Bill, John, Bob and Elaine did not make it past the first round.  The big news is that Phyllis made it through 6 rounds and made it all the way to the semi finals.  It was so exciting!!!!  We had great fun cheering her on.  This is the first time she has made it that far and we are all so proud of her.   Janet Hoy came out again and shared the fun with us.

 On our team we had 5 Corvettes and one 2000 F 150 Ford Pickup.  That’s right … a pickup.  The night before the race the rear end broke on Bob McFarlane’s ’58.  So he brought out his truck to race.  You can bring any vehicle out and race it.  It does not have to be your Corvette.  We’ll take anything on our team. 

 Bandimere Results as of  June 24th:

                Team Point Series:  LGCA in 13th place out of 42 teams

                5 Man Team Points Series:  Stayed at 11 out of 35 teams

                And Phyllis Nuss is now tied for 5th overall out of 204 drivers!!!!!

The remaining races for this season are on Friday nights:  August 25, and Sept. 15.
