Planned Events

Looking Glass Corvette Association and Purifoy Chevrolet invite you to join us in Summit County, Colorado for a fun filled weekend at the 38^th Annual Vettes On The Rockies^® on August 4, 5, 6, 7, 2011.  Full registration for the four day event will include Welcome Reception, Dinner Party and fun activities including a Gimmick Rally, Photo Shoot, Fashion Show, Pit Crew Challenge, and Show N’ Shine Car Show.  The Autocross will be an optional separate event at a separate cost.  Online registration opens March 6, 2011.

2011 Event Featured Corvette: This year’s event will feature the 50^th Anniversary Edition Corvette.  If you are a proud owner of a 2003 Anniversary Edition car (must have factory option 1SC to qualify) make sure you select “50^th Anniversary Edition” on the registration form. Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center, Breckenridge, Colorado located at the base of Peak 9 Ski Area is once again the host hotel for our event.  For room reservation contact e is within walking distance from the resort.

There will be an event Welcome Desk available Thursday through Saturday in the Main Lobby for information and directions.  Event Merchandise sales and the Registration Desk will be located in the Beaver Run Conference Center on the First Floor of the resort. Participants will be able to place advance orders for the event T-Shirts.  Order forms will be included with registration email confirmations.

THURSDAY, August 4^th 

Welcome Reception – event begins with a Welcome Reception.  It will be held in the Tent on the East Side of the Beaver Run Resort and will include Appetizers and a Cash Bar.

FRIDAY, August 5^th

Fashion Show – held Friday afternoon in the Imperial Ballroom on the 4^th Floor, Beaver Run Resort.

Gimmick Rally – a drive through the scenic Rocky Mountains with easy to follow printed set of directions including questions for clues and checkpoint stops with gimmicks. 

Photo Shoot – Will be part of the Gimmick Rally.

Dinner Party – The theme of the dinner party will be Surf the Rockies with Beach Attire Optional. The dinner will be assigned seating held in the Colorado Ballroom. Menu choices are 10 oz cut Prime Rib; Chicken Piccata (chicken lightly dusted with fresh herbs with sauce of white wine, lemon and capers); and Toasted Cumin Rubbed Sea Scallops (with pineapple cilantro Serrano salsa).

SATURDAY, August 6^th 

Autocross – Optional Event not included in full registration package will be held Saturday morning at Tenderfoot Parking K Lot in Keystone.  This is a 30-35 mph speed timed driving course in traffic coned parking lot.  Required helmets will be available or you can bring your own.  A mandatory Car Tech must be done prior to the event – schedule will be posted.

Pit Crew Challenge – held Saturday afternoon in the Beaver Run Resort East Parking Lot. This is a new fun event that will challenge your skills by performing a 4-person team timed pit stop.

Dessert Buffet & Trophy Awards – will be held Saturday evening with scrumptious desserts followed with trophy presentations for the Auto Cruise, Pit Crew Challenge, and Autocross events.

SUNDAY – August 7^th

Show ‘N Shine Car Show – Main Street, Frisco, Colorado.
